JACK WILSHERE is reportedly prepared to move away from Arsenal to bolster his chances of making England’s World Cup squad.

The 25-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth, has had his career blighted by injuries, and he has been restricted to just 17 games in two seasons for the Gunners.

This term, Wilshere has been predominantly been used in the cup competitions by Arsene Wenger.

Recent reports have linked the midfielder with a move to Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.

And now according to The Times, Wilshere is giving serious thought to his Emirates future with a World Cup next summer.

The report suggests he is desperate to make the tournament in Russia and remains in Gareth Southgate's plans despite not making a Premier League appearance so far this campaign.

Wilshere, it is claimed, would not be prepared to drop down to a Championship club, leaving West Ham and Crystal Palace as his most viable options.

The Times also suggest the Gunners will not consider letting Wilshere go out on loan again.

When asked recently about his preferred position for Arsenal, Wilshere said: “I can play in the deeper midfield role, which I did against Doncaster, and then I went and played on the left.

“I say on the left, but the boss told me before the game that he wanted me to come inside, get in the pockets (of space).

“He didn't want me to play as a left winger. It's almost like a No 10 position if you like.

“You can come into that position, and me and Theo (Walcott) were switching in the game. I'm enjoying both roles to be honest and looking forward to getting more minutes in both.”
