The 24-year-old quit Madrid for France in the summer.

He has scored six goals in 10 appearances for his new club.

Monaco chief reveals all on Thomas Lemar

16:45: Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev admits their is a "fair chance" Thomas Lemar could leave the club next summer.

He told Sky Sports: “I’m very happy he stayed with us. For us, we need a player like Thomas Lemar. He's very important to our team.

"Definitely next summer will be something to look at, although you know in football there are no guarantees.

“We had some players who were supposed to leave this summer but didn't leave because of X, Y, Z. I think it would be fair to say Thomas will have a fair chance to an exit next year.”

Aguero wants Messi link-up

13:55: Sergio Aguero is desperate for Manchester City to Lionel Messi - and he thinks the club have the financial clout to do so.

Messi has yet to sign a new contract at the Camp Nou despite provisionally agreeing terms on a three-year extension.

Aguero, 29, plays with Messi for Argentina and he would love the pair to link up at the Etihad.

He said: “City would have no money problems in regards to signing Messi but he is a symbol of Barcelona and it would be very difficult for him to leave.

"I would love to [see Messi join] -- who wouldn't love to have Leo in his team?

“But he's a symbol of his club and I think it would be rather difficult.”

Man Utd eye £170m Kane bid

11:56: Manchester United are weighing up a £170million bid for Tottenham star Harry Kane.

His impressive displays have seen him linked with a mega-money move to Real Madrid but The Sun claim Manchester United are prepared to break the bank to land his signature.

Jose Mourinho is a long-term admirer of the 24-year-old and wants to partner him up front with Romelu Lukaku.

Tottenham insist Kane is not for sale - although they will likely need to increase his wages if they want to keep hold of their star man.

Kane's current deal expires in 2022 but they ready to offer him £150,000-a-week in a bid to keep him at White Hart Lane.

Madrid eye five Galacticos

11:19: Real Madrid are already planning ahead for a huge summer spending spree and have outlined five stars they want to try and sign.

According to Spanish publication Don Balon, Zinedine Zidane met with president Florentino Perez and general director Jose Angel Sanchez to discuss plans.

Top of Real’s wishlist are Tottenham star Harry Kane and Juventus forward Paulo Dybala with the former recently admitting he would not rule out a move to Spain.

A goalkeeper is also needed with Manchester United’s David de Gea is Perez’s first choice but he is not ruling out a move for Chelsea shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois should he fail to sign the Spaniard.

The final area Real want to reinforce is in defence with a new right-back and a centre-back targeted.

Perez and Zidane have outlined Real Sociedad’s Alvaro Odriozola and Athletic Bilbao’s Aymeric Laporte.

Wenger on Sanchez and Ozil

10.50: Arsene Wenger hopes Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will both stay at Arsenal despite being out of contract next summer.

“The fact that we didn’t find an agreement last year doesn’t mean they will leave,” he said.

“Both players look happy here, overall I hope the situation can be turned round.

“At the moment we are not close enough to announce anything.”

But he did go on to admit Ozil could leave in January.

Wenger admits Ozil could be sold

9.50: Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that German star Mesut Ozil could be sold in January.

The playmaker is out of contract at the Emirates at the end of the season and Wenger could be about to cash in on the 28-year-old when the transfer window reopens.

The Arsenal manager revealed that there has been no progression in contract talks with the midfielder.

On the possibility of selling Ozil, Wenger said: "We have envisaged every solution, it is possible we might sell in January."

Messi move complicated

08.50: Sergio Aguero admits a move for Lionel Messi is complicated but says he hopes he would come to Manchester City.

City have been linked with a move for Messi with the uncertainty around his contract.

But Aguero thinks his Argentina team-mate is out of reach.

"The money isn't a problem here," Aguero told TyC Sport. "But I think Messi, like [Cristiano] Ronaldo, are players who are symbols of their clubs and it's difficult for them to leave.

"I would love to have Leo on my team, but that seems quite complicated."

Ozil new deal hint

07.55: Mesut Ozil agent has hinted there could be a positive resolution regarding the midfielder’s Arsenal contract situation.

Ozil has entered the final year of his contract and talks between him and Arsenal were understood to have reached a stalemate.

The Germany international wants a significant pay rise from the Gunners but is also attracting interest from Manchester United and Besiktas in Turkey.

But his representative Erkut Sogut has revealed they have not received an approach from Besiktas and claimed the midfielder wants to remain in the Premier League.

Sogut told Fanatik: "Mesut is glad to hear of Besiktas being interested in him, however, no proposal has reached us.

"Even if that did happen, he wants to play in the Premier League for at least two to three more years.

"Our contact with Arsenal continues and we are moving in a positive direction."

Leeds eye new left-back

07.45: Leeds are plotting a move for Huddersfield left-back Scott Malone.

The 26-year-old joined the Premier League new boys from Fulham for £4m in the summer transfer window but has failed to dislodge Chris Lowe in the starting XI.

According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Leeds will attempt to lure him from their West Yorkshire rivals on loan during the January transfer window.

Thomas Christiansen has struggled to fill the left-back position this term.

Manchester United loanee Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has not appeared in the Championship since his debut in August while Gaetano Berardi has struggled with injury.

Real Madrid willing to sell Bale

07.25: Real Madrid would be willing to sell Gareth Bale to Manchester United - if they can recoup what they spent on him.

Bale has struggled in Madrid over the past 18 months despite sealing three Champions League crowns since moving from Tottenham.

Injuries have curtailed his impact and frustrations have grown from the sidelines and the boardroom.

The emergence of Marco Asensio and the form of Isco have made his indispensable tag fade and he missed the run in for the La Liga title last season.

He is currently out injured and has scored just once in the league this season.

Manchester United have kept an eye on his form and Jose Mourinho admitted he would move for him last summer if Zinedine Zidane wasn’t going to rely on him.

And Spanish publication El Confidencial claim Florentino Perez would be willing to sell him if he got the money he spent on him back.

Bale is believed to want things to work out in Madrid but sees Manchester United as a potential option in the future.

Arsenal in for Martial

07.00: Arsenal have emerged as favourites with the bookies to sign Manchester United forward Anthony Martial in January.

Arsenal were linked with a January move for Martial over the weekend as Gunners manager Arsene Wenger looks to replace Alexis Sanchez, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

The France international has started just four games across all competitions this term, but has still impressed with five goals and six assists.

And bookmakers Betfair have responded by pricing Arsenal as 8/1 favourites to sign the 22-year-old when the transfer window reopens in January.

The Gunners are just ahead of north London rivals Tottenham, who are at odds of 10/1.

Coutinho to Barcelona back on

06.45: Liverpool chiefs have promised Philippe Coutinho he will be allowed to join Barcelona in January, providing the Catalan club make a respectable offer.

Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claim Liverpool bosses are finally ready to let the 25-year-old leave.

They claim Coutinho was reluctant to play in the Champions League for Liverpool this season because it meant he wouldn’t be able to represent Barca in the same competition if he moved in January.

In order to convince the Brazilian to play in Europe, Liverpool chiefs promised him they’d let him move to La Liga in the New Year.

Seeing no other way to try and force his move to Barca, Coutinho agreed to Liverpool’s wishes and has already represented the club in draws with Sevilla and Spartak Moscow.

Coutinho knows he cannot play for Barca in the Champions League this season but that has not put him off joining.

The attacker is now hoping Liverpool stick to their promise and sell to Barca when the January transfer window opens.

Mundo Deportivo say Coutinho remains in contact with Barca and the club are keen to wrap up a deal as soon as possible with Paris Saint-Germain showing interest.
