Chelsea News: Carlo Ancelotti open to shock return if Antonio Conte leaves Blues post

CARLO ANCELOTTI is open to a stunning return to Chelsea, according to reports.

Antonio Conte insists he's happy at Chelsea amid exit rumours

Ancelotti is currently out of work after being axed by Bayern Munich earlier this month.

The Italian won the Bundesliga title last term but, with Bayern trailing Borussia Dortmund at the summit this season, the German giants opted to wield the axe.

Conte, meanwhile, continues to be tipped to leave Chelsea despite landing the Premier League trophy during his first season in charge.

And the Sun say that, if Conte leaves, then Ancelotti would be willing to return.

The 58-year-old was appointed as Chelsea manager back in the summer of 2009.

And he immediately took to life in England, winning the double in his first season at the helm.

However, things went wrong the following year.

Chelsea endured a nightmare mid-season run - one that proved costly with Manchester United going on to dethrone them with champions.

Ancelotti was then sacked and went on to lead Real Madrid to Champions League glory.

But The Sun say there is a chance he may yet return.

Additionally, Arsenal and Liverpool are mentioned as possible destinations.

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal future continues to be the source of much discussion.

The Frenchman was handed a two-year contract extension back in the summer but the Gunners still remain off the pace in the top flight.

Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, must beat Manchester United today to lift some of the pressure on his shoulders.
