MANCHESTER UNITED striker Anthony Martial ‘wants to kill people’ when he walks onto the pitch, according to Sky Sports pundit Thierry Henry.

Martial has been in fine form for Manchester United this season and was rewarded with a start against Liverpool at Anfield today.

The Frenchman was not always a regular in Jose Mourinho’s first campaign at Old Trafford.

Henry says he now has the confidence to ‘kill’ his opposition, hunting down goals and assists.

The Arsenal legend says he must now do that at a consistent level.

At the minute he is adding what’s missing, or what was missing. He wants to kill

“Oh he is (confident), you can see the difference, you can see the difference in his eyes,” Henry said of the Manchester United man.

“Every time he walks on the field, I use the word kill, hopefully I’m not offending anyone with that word, but he wants to kill people.

“He wants to have a go, he wants to score, he wants to have an assist. I think that’s the most important thing.

“I would go as far as saying he is the most gifted player that they have.

“But sometimes it’s not enough, you need to add something more to that.

“At the minute he is adding what’s missing, or what was missing. He wants to kill.

“You see when he even has just five minutes or 10 minutes, he’s making the difference. When you look at the impact he has on some of the goals of Manchester United, it’s second to none at the minute.

“Now, he needs to do it all the time. That’s when it becomes difficult.”
