Jurgen Klopp has opened up on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's omission

Oxlade-Chamberlain has struggled at Anfield since arriving from Arsenal on deadline day.

And He was omitted from the starting XI despite the injury to Sadio Mane.

And Klopp says it was easy because he is still getting used to his new surroundings.

“Yes,” said Klopp when asked if it was easy to leave the former Arsenal man out.

“Of course we have the option of moving Firmino or putting Oxlade in his position. But he just needs a little bit more time to adapt.

“It was already interrupted by two weeks of international break. We will have that again in November but after that again I’m sure it will be fine.

“These players are used to each other and I think it makes sense against Man Utd not to make a lot of experiments.”

United had won just once in seven prior to United’s visit to Anfield and are in danger of slipping out of title contention already.

United meanwhile were behind leaders Manchester City on just goal difference.
