David de Gea: Gary Neville reveals why he loves the Man Utd ace

MANCHESTER UNITED goalkeeper David de Gea is the best in the world, according to Red Devils legend Gary Neville.

David De Gea: It's a dream to play for Manchester United

De Gea pulled off a stunning save in Manchester United’s 0-0 draw with Liverpool today.

The Spaniard somehow kept out Joel Matip’s close-range effort with his left foot in the first-half.

De Gea has conceded just twice in the Premier League this season, both in the 2-2 draw at Stoke.

That means he has collected seven clean sheets in the first eight league games this term.

Neville admits he is a huge fan of Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois but says no one rivals De Gea.

“Is there anyone better now in the world than David de Gea?” Neville said on Sky Sports.

“I’m not sure now. Courtois I love to pieces, but this guy now is doing things that are just absolutely stunning. Brilliant, brilliant goalkeeper.

“The save there and the one at Stoke a few weeks ago were absolutely outstanding.

“You need that, you need that.

“It’s difficult to win things if you haven’t got a good goalkeeper.

“We saw a stat last night that said only three per cent of shots that go on Manchester United’s goal go in the net.

“That is ridiculously low.”
