The 20-year-old striker netted twice to earn Swansea a much-needed victory over Huddersfield and lift them three points clear of the relegation zone.

Abraham is one of 34 Blues players out on loan, but Britton reckons he can buck the trend to break into Antonio Conte’s side.

“It is difficult at Chelsea. We have seen a lot of players who have left and have had big careers. But I don’t see why Tammy can’t make it there,” said the midfielder.

“The top teams always create a lot of chances and Tammy is a very good finisher and if you give him those chances, he will score the goals.

“He has come and here to prove to Chelsea that he can do it in the Premier League with a team who are not the standard of Chelsea.

“If he does that, I don’t see any reason why he can’t go back to Chelsea, break through and have a long career there.”

Terriers goalkeeper Jonas Lossl gifted Swansea the lead after 42 minutes. The Danish stopper passed the ball straight to Tom Carroll who charged towards goal and crossed for Abraham to tap the ball home.

It got even better for the Swans three minutes after half-time when Aaron Mooy’s tackle accidentally sent Jordan Ayew clean through on goal.

The Frenchman lifted the ball over Lossl before Abraham got the final touch to make sure it got over the line.

Huddersfield are now without a win since their 1-0 triumph over Newcastle on August 20.

It does not get any easier for David Wagner’s side, who face Manchester United and Liverpool in their next two fixtures.

But Tom Ince still has the belief they have what it takes to keep their place in the Premier League.

Mourinho shows Man Utd confidence before Swansea clash

He said: “Of course the belief is still there. This is our first run at the league and we know it’s going to be tough.

“But we have full belief in this dressing room that we can pick up points. We showed that in the first six games.

“There are 30 odd games to go and we need to keep working hard and making sure that we move into the next game and do it again.”
