Those are the thoughts of Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp.

United maintained their unbeaten start to the season when they managed to secure a goalless draw away at Anfield.

Despite missing Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini, United held firm even though Liverpool applied significant pressure.

Mourinho, meanwhile, came under fire for his defensive tactics which replicated last season’s corresponding fixture when both sides fired blanks.

And Redknapp thinks a point at Liverpool is always a great result for any side challenging for the title.

“You have to take into account the history and rivalry of Liverpool and United,” Redknapp told Sky Sports’ The Debate Show.

“You will always take a point at Liverpool regardless of whether they are good or indifferent.

“A point against Liverpool is always a good point.

“Could United have been more attacking? Of course they could.

“At the end of the season, people won’t be saying they didn’t play well at Anfield, but got a point.

“If you open up against Liverpool, then you will get done what Arsenal had done to them.”

United focus their attentions on the Champions League tonight (7.45pm) as they visit Benfica.
