CHELSEA striker Alvaro Morata reportedly contacted Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos after Los Blancos’ 1-1 draw with Tottenham last night.

Real Madrid struggled against Tottenham, with Zinedine Zidane’s side missing out on the chance to take pole position in the race for the Champions League knockout stages.

Not for the first time, it was left for Cristiano Ronaldo to dig them out of a hole, with the former Manchester United forward chalking off Harry Kane’s opener.

And Spanish outlet Diario Gol says Chelsea star Morata sent a message to his old team-mate Ramos after the game.

Real’s draw last night was the latest in a string of disappointing results that has hampered their chances of retaining both La Liga and the Champions League.

Domestically, they have struggled - managing to win just five of their first eight games.

And it was a similar story last night, with Real again looking a far cry from the team that reigned supreme last season.

Diario Gol say Morata, however, had positive words for Ramos.

He supposedly contacted the defender and told him that an upturn in fortunes is just around the corner.

Morata also downplayed the Tottenham result, insisting Real should still finish at the top of the group.

However, there can be no denying that Zidane is missing the Chelsea forward.

Morata was sold this summer after struggling for game time last season.

And he has made an immediate impact at Stamford Bridge, scoring six times since his huge £70million transfer.
