Red Star Belgrade vs Arsenal: Keown admits he fears for the young Gunners tonight

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has made nine changes to the team that lost 2-1 to Watford on Saturday.

Youngsters Reiss Nelson, Joe Willock and Ainsley Maitland-Niles start, with right-back Mathieu Debuchy making only his second appearance of 2017.

Keown says the players will want to respond to the comments made by Watford captain Troy Deeney on Saturday.

But he says he is worried about the inexperience in the squad this evening.

“The players will want to respond, Wenger has said it has hurt him to the core," Keown said on BT Sport.

"The players will want to show when they come up against that type of player that they’ve got that sort of physicality.

"Arsenal tonight, they’ve got a lot of youngsters coming in.

"I just hope in their DNA, the next group, they have that toughness that you’re going to need.

"Because you do need it, there are opponents who will ask you that question.

Reiss Nelson hailed for stunning Europa League performance

"Tonight there is quite a lot of inexperience in the team tonight for Arsenal.

"I fear for them a little bit.

"Debuchy coming back, who we’ve also forgotten he’s an Arsenal player.

"I expect Arsenal to show the necessary ingredients to get a good result tonight."
