Chelsea have fallen off the pace in recent weeks and have not won for three games in all competitions.

The dip in form has heaped pressure on manager Antonio Conte and Cesar Azpilicueta admitted after the 3-3 midweek draw with Roma that morale in the camp was low.

The Blues will be hoping to get their season back on track with a win against Watford tomorrow (12.30pm), closing Manchester City’s nine-point lead at the top of the Premier League.

But if they fail to get a result, Conte’s job could be on the line and the Italian admitted getting the sack is a possibility.

“At the moment after two defeats and a draw I am happy for the commitment of my players, but after the three results I am not happy,” he said.

“Every coach and manager has to feel the pressure.

“I try to give all myself and put everything into the job. When I go to my house I am happy because I put all myself in the job for the fans, club and players.

“But anything can happen in football.”

Conte is said to be feeling the heat from the Chelsea hierarchy, who held an emergency meeting in the wake of the 3-3 draw with Roma.

Michael Emenalo reportedly did not leave Stamford Bridge until 3.00am, suggesting all is not well behind the scenes.

And when asked if the board had given him their backing, Conte was illusive and claimed his focus was solely on the players and taking things game by game.

“The most important thing to do is to work, always to have this enthusiasm,” Conte added.

“I don’t care what happens around.

“I think we are doing everything to try to win games. The players’ commitment was very good against City and Roma.

“Our focus is to go game by game. Every opponent can be dangerous for different reasons.

“For us it is important to be focused to go game by game and put ourselves in our game.”
