Barcelona News: Luis Suarez made confession to Lionel Messi after Olympiakos clash

BARCELONA star Luis Suarez opened up to Lionel Messi after the club’s Champions League win against Olympiakos, according to reports.

Lionel Messi appears to take a 'tablet' from his sock

Barcelona made it three Champions League wins from as many games with a 3-1 victory over the Greek side in midweek.

Despite having Gerard Pique dismissed for two bookable offences, Ernesto Valverde’s side ran out comfortable winners with Messi’s 100th European goal all but sealing their passage to the knockout stages.

However, not for the first time, Suarez struggled up top with the Uruguay international a far cry from his usual self this season.

And Spanish website Don Balon claims the former Liverpool striker confided in Lionel Messi after the game on Wednesday.

Suarez injured his knee against Real Madrid during the Spanish Super Cup defeat back in August.

And the pain appears to have effected his displays on the pitch this season.

Don Balon say the 30-year-old feels he needs surgery in order to rediscover the form that made him so deadly during Luis Enrique’s tenure.

That could happen at the end of December but, until then, Suarez could be out of action.

He told Messi he feels he cannot keep playing through the pain as it may damage Barcelona’s hopes of title glory.

Should Suarez face time out, it could give Paco Alcacer the chance to revive his career.

The Spain international struggled last year after arriving from Valencia.

But the striker could start up top when they go up against Malaga tomorrow (7.45pm).
