Man Utd fans simply can't believe what Jose Mourinho did during Huddersfield loss

JOSE MOURINHO shocked Manchester United fans during the defeat to Huddersfield Town - after showing off his own footballing prowess.

Jose Mourinho's Man Utd went down to a defeat at Huddersfield

The Special One had a somewhat modest career as a player in Portugal which never really hit the heights.

He played as a centre midfielder for Portuguese side Rio Ave, for whom his dad was coach, before calling time on his career early.

The reason, it's said, is because Mourinho lacked the necessary pace and power to make it - but that hasn't stopped him become a footballing legend.

Mourinho swapped the pitch for the technical area and is now one of the most admired bosses in the game.

And he showed today at the John Smith's Stadium that he hasn't lost that ability he might have had a player.

Manchester United were trailing Huddersfield when the ball flew over to Mourinho in the technical area as the rain poured down.

Jose Mourinho caught everyone's attention with his touchline control

Would Mourinho fluff his lines when he had the chance to show he still had it? Of course not.

He responded by delivering a stunning first touch that led to cheers from the Huddersfield fans in the stands.

Others rushed to Twitter to hail the United boss. One joked: "Mourinho has a better first touch than Lukaku."

A fellow fan tweeted: "Maybe Mourinho should have subbed himself in.  He's shown better touch on the ball than his players today."

Another said: "Mourinho's touch sums up the match, he had the right game plan but certain mans individual performances ruined it."

While another added: "Mourinho better touch than lingard."

A fellow United supporter joked: "With a first touch like that Mourinho should’ve started."

United went down 2-1 to Huddersfield in a performance that left Mourinho frustrated.

He fumed at his side's attitude and said: "I don't even remember a friendly match when our attitude was so poor.

"We could have a second goal and a draw but it would have been undeserved.

"If I was a Manchester United supporter, I would be really disappointed because you can accept losing because the opponent had more quality, but not because the opponent had more attitude."

Sources close to United boss Jose Mourinho revealed last night that Mourinho is desperate to get Paul Pogba back in his side - and that could come as early as December.

The French midfielder has not played since limping off with a hamstring injury in the Champions League against Basel on September 12.
