THAT’S ALL FOLKS

22:30: Thanks for joining me tonight. I’ll be back again on Saturday to bring you LIVE coverage of the Premier League. We’ll be kicking off at 11am with Manchester United vs Spurs. No biggie…

22:20: West Ham boss Slaven Bilic: “The mood was down at half-time but not that down as against Brighton. That result was bad but we played good football. We did not penetrate Spurs enough, were not good in the final third and we said things about what we should do when they and ourselves have the ball.

"We reacted in the most brilliant way. To score three goals against them, who do not concede goals, then be brave and compact and good on the ball, we deserved it and it is a big boost for us.”

22:15: Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino: "We scored two goals and it looked like the game was over but we showed a lack of aggression and concede three in 15 minutes.

"That can't happen. When you are not on the same mental level it is difficult. The opponent had nothing to lose, they started to believe and we started to suffer. Maybe we thought the job was done. The second half was not the same and it is difficult to accept.

"After Real Madrid and Liverpool it was difficult to keep the motivation and concentration. We must be more mature at 2-0 up, that is disappointing.”

22:12: Everton boss David Unsworth: "Morgan Schneiderlin was taken ill so I had no hesitation in playing Beni Baningime, he's been terrific for the Under-23s and that was some debut tonight. He likes a tackle!

"He's very humble and we're all proud of him tonight. You have to have the confidence to play young players, and I know them."

22:11: Everton boss David Unsworth: ”Nobody likes losing games, I'm a bad loser but I have to say I'm proud of the performance, they were terrific. We are disappointed to lose, we think we had chances to get something from the game.

"We knew James McCarthy could only play for 60 minutes so we were always going to change things then. We limited Chelsea and then opened it up. We were camped in the Chelsea half, there is loads to work on."

22:10: Andre Ayew, speaking to Sky Sports: “We stayed confident. We were down but the coach had the words. I want to congratulate the whole team, it's a massive win. We have a massive game on Saturday against Crystal Palace.

"We have to enjoy this, but prepare for Saturday. We knew if we scored early in the second half we'd have a chance. We need to relax and work hard because Saturday is a big one."

22:07: West Ham captain Mark Noble: "Being 2-0 down not only against Spurs but any team is a massive mountain to climb.

"We have not been doing ourselves justice but I said during the week we have to wear the shirt with pride and we did that. You need a bit of luck and Andre Ayew was in the right place for the two goals."

22:05: There’s a party going on at Wembley right now with all the West Ham fans still there singing. Mark Noble trots over and gives one lucky fan his sweaty, sweaty shirt.

TOMORROW’S DRAW…

22:00: Here are the Carabao Cup quarter-finalists.

Bournemouth, Arsenal, Bristol City, Leicester, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and West Ham.

As previously mentioned, the draw will take place tomorrow at 4pm. Make sure you join Express Sport for that!

TOTTENHAM 2-3 WEST HAM

FT: I don’t believe it. Spurs have been knocked out of the Carabao Cup by West Ham after Slaven Bilic’s side produced an epic comeback in 15 minutes. This is why we love football.

93: West Ham defending for their lives as Spurs continue throwing the kitchen sink at them. 90 seconds remaining…

91: Dele Alli is screaming for a penalty as Byram looks to drag him to the floor. Nothing doing.

Adrian is then forced into action but spills Eriksen's shot straight to Alderweireld, who’s quickly crowded out.

Bilic looks like a cat on a hot tin roof.

FOUR MINUTES ADDED TIME

87: Spurs pressure as the seconds tick away. Christian Eriksen, who was thrown on to salvage a result, looks to tee up Sissoko, but the midfielder gets his legs in a tangle. Slaven Bilic looks to shave a few seconds off with Lansing being replaced by Arnautovic.

TOTTENHAM 2-3 WEST HAM

85: We’re in the final five minutes at Wembley with West Ham protecting a one-goal lead. I’ll take you through the closing stages.

CHELSEA 2-1 EVERTON

FT: Nope, no injury-time comeback from Everton as Chelsea book themselves a spot in tomorrow's quarter-final draw. Reaction on the way folks!

CHELSEA 2-1 EVERTON - CALVERT-LEWIN

93: Errrr, maybe it’s not all over.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin bundles home after Chelsea daily to clear Oumar Niasse’s mazy run.

CHELSEA 2-0 EVERTON - WILLIAN

92: Game, set and match.

Chelsea have wrapped things up with a cracking stoppage time strike from Willian.

91: Chance goes begging. Ademola Lookman takes a short free-kick from Leighton Baines, and fires it wide. The left-back would have been better sticking in the box.

FOUR MINUTES ADDED TIME

89: Chelsea go in search of the killer goal. Morata's long pass is taken into the box by Zappacosta but his shot is blocked by Baines.

88: Chelsea have regained a bit of control since Alvaro Morata’s arrival for Michy Batshuayi. Time ticking away for the visitors.

TOTTENHAM 2-3 WEST HAM - OGBONNA

70: OH DEAR LORD!!!! I don’t believe it. West Ham are ahead having turned around a two-goal deficit.

Angelo Ogbonna with a superb header from a corner. Spurs are stunned.

82: Woodwork! I’m not quite sure how Everton aren’t level here. Great work from Lookman down the left sees him cut onto his left and rifle a shot that clips the bar. Rooney off for Niasse. Let the mayhem begin…

81: Prepare yourselves folks, Oumar Niasse is getting ready to come on.

80: Wayne Rooney almost presses the self-destruct button with an abysmal back-pass.

The striker feeds it straight to Michy Batshuayi, whose first touch takes it away from him and he ends up clattering against the post. Don't worry, he's up and about.

78: Everton all over Chelsea now as Ademola Lookman makes his first impact with a shot into the side netting. That could easily have drawn David Unsworth’s side level with a tad more composure.

TOTTENHAM 2-2 WEST HAM - AYEW

60: This is not a drill! West Ham have equalised at Wembley through Andre Ayew. We now have the prospect of extra-time on our hands.

74: Chelsea make another change as Antonio Conte looks to regain some sort of control. Pedro comes on for Musonda. Young Ademola Lookman is on for Aaron Lennon as Tom Davies lets fly from range but it's over the bar. Miles over the bar.

TOTTENHAM 2-1 WEST HAM - AYEW

54: Hello! Looks like we’ve got a game on our hands. Fernandes' shot is parried into the path of Ayew who converts from close range.

72: Another update, another save from Caballero. A cutback reaches Mirallas, whose first-time snapshot is parried away.

70: Save! Caballero’s proving there is plenty left in the tank. He dives and gets two hands to a Jagielka header from the free-kick. There’s something in this for Everton. Chelsea looking complacent.

68: Ashley Williams is screaming for a penalty after losing out to Rudiger for the header. Nothing in that. But there was in Rudiger’s next challenge on Mirallas, and he’s booked.

65: Just to clarify, Everton are now playing 4-4-2. Mike Bassett would be proud.

64: Chances coming thick and fast now. Looks like that crunching tackle from Baningime has fired them up.

So close for Lennon! A pinpoint Mirallas cross almost finds him a couple of yards out but Kenedy just beats him to the ball. Jagielka is then booked for dragging the breaking Musonda down.

Antonio Conte makes his first change with Cesc Fabregas replacing Danny Drinkwater. Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s  also on for James McCarthy.

61: Back underway at Wembley. No changes for either side as Spurs look to see this one out.

60: Where’s this come from?! Everton are going for it now. Lennon pounces on Caballero’s terrible pass out but the winger’s first touch is heavy and the former Manchester City stopper makes the save.

59: Chance! That should have been 1-1.

It’s Everton’s best chance by a country mile but Caballero somehow blocks Rooney’s  volley from point-blank range after a Mirallas knock-down.

56: A third Everton booking - this time for McCarthy for catching Kenedy. The Toffees bossing the cards table here…

55: The Chelsea bench are very angry about a challenge by Baningime on Ampadu but play continued with Kenny blazing over.

53: Chelsea may have found a real gem in Ethan Ampadu. He looks calm, composed and perhaps most importantly, tough. I’m not sure whether having similar hair to David Luiz is a good thing though…

51: Tom Davies has exhausted all his chances. He goes in the book after clattering into Gary Cahill. It’s been a long time coming in fairness.

Chelsea vs Everton LIVE: Carabao Cup scores, news and analysis from Stamford BridgeGETTY

48: I’m not entirely sure what Everton’s game-plan was in that first-half. Lennon and Mirallas were on the pitch (apparently) but there was almost zero width from the visitors.

Musonda wins the ball on halfway but his ball over the top has too much on it for Batshuayi.

45: We’re back underway at Stamford Bridge folks. No changes at the break. It’s also HT at Wembley with Spurs likely to grab a spot in tomorrow’s quarter-final draw.

TOTTENHAM 2-0 WEST HAM - ALLI

37: I hope Slaven Bilic’s career prospects don’t hinge on tonight’s result…

Tottenham are 2-0 ahead courtesy of Dele Alli, whose shot from the edge of the box takes a deflection into the corner.

TWITTER ROUND-UP

Dan: Everton in danger of becoming passengers in this game. Poor Ashley Williams still looking for a successful pass (or tackle).

Paul: New boss, same old Everton. Zero shots on target and Chelsea in total control.

James: Everton have now played 135 minutes at Stamford Bridge this season, failing to hit a single shot on target during that time.

Chelsea vs Everton LIVE: Carabao Cup scores, news and analysis from Stamford Bridge

CHELSEA 1-0 EVERTON

HT: This has not been one to remember. The sides are divided by a cracking header from Rudiger, which was his first Chelsea goal. So I suppose someone will remember that opening 45 minutes...

ONE MINUTE ADDED TIME

43: Antonio Conte will be thrilled with how things are going here. The Italian would have expected a real backlash from Everton, but nothing’s arrived yet.

Chelsea attack at pace after Williams carelessly gives the ball away but it ends with Zappacosta firing into the side-netting.

40: A helpful word from ex-Everton goalkeeper Neville Southall. Asked how the Toffees should go about getting their confidence back, he tweeted: “Clean sheets and wins simple.” Thanks, Nev.

39: Chelsea are bossing things here. I think Everton need to be 10 yards further up the pitch to get competitive. Far too deep.

36: Wayne Rooney leaves his mark on Cahill with a late challenge. The forward escapes punishment. Jordan Pickford is then forced into action after Batshuayi spun Jagielka. It’s a comfortable height for the stopper.

33: Batshuayi weaves his way into the area but Jagielka forces him out wide and the chance is gone. Rudiger then blocks a speculative Mirallas effort.

Chelsea vs Everton LIVE: Carabao Cup scores, news and analysis from Stamford BridgeGETTY

Chelsea vs Everton LIVE: Carabao Cup scores, news and analysis from Stamford Bridge

30: Half an hour played in this Carabao Cup tie and Rudiger's first Chelsea goal separates the sides. Everton not seen much in the way of chances. Actually, they haven’t had one.

29: Ashley Williams goes in the book for a cynical foul on Willian. The Brazilian had him on toast.

CHELSEA 1-0 EVERTON - RUDIGER

26: There’s the breakthrough. After a fairly tame opening, Stamford Bridge is alive thanks to Antonio Rudiger.

It’s a well-worked free-kick with Willian taking it short to Musonda, whose deep cross is met by Rudiger to nod it back over Jordan Pickford.

Advantage Chelsea.

23: Huge roar from the traveling Everton fans, who look to have sold their allocation, as they win a corner, but Rudiger soon silences them with a powerful clearance.

TOTTENHAM 1-0 WEST HAM - SISSOKO

6: It didn’t take long for Spurs to cut West Ham open. Son feeds Sissoko, who tucks it home. Simple.

Chelsea vs Everton LIVE: Carabao Cup scores, news and analysis from Stamford BridgeGETTY

Chelsea vs Everton LIVE: Carabao Cup scores, news and analysis from Stamford Bridge

18: Where are these goals going to come from? Davide Zappacosta teases Kevin Mirallas with some fancy footwork but the ball dribbles out of play. Drinkwater looks for Batshuayi but Pickford is quickly off his line.

15: We’re underway at Wembley for Tottenham’s clash with West Ham. I’ll keep you updated with the goals as they go in. Back here, Musonda's cross is cleared to Rudiger, who tries his luck from range only to blast his effort off target.

12: Still waiting for the first chance of the night… Typical! Jagielka just blocked a shot from Batshuayi, who made himself a couple of yards.

9: Tom Davies concedes a couple of free-kicks on the bounce. Tad over-eager to impress the new manager perhaps. Ampadu pings one at Musonda but the midfielder can’t control.

6: Chelsea have controlled the early stages despite Everton pressing hard. The players have clearly listened to David Unsworth’s demand for 100% commitment.

Jonjoe Kenny nearly sets Wayne Rooney free but Andreas Christensen is quick to clear the danger.

3: Full debutant Ethan Ampadu wins his first challenge of the night strongly. That should do wonders for his confidence.

CHELSEA 0-0 EVERTON

1: And we’re off! Chelsea wearing all blue while Everton have opted for a rather snazzy grey number. Snazzy? Apparently I’ve become my father in the last five minutes.

TWO-MINUTE WARNING

19:43: We’re almost underway folks. The players have emerged from the tunnel on a mild night in West London.

David Unsworth’s gone for the tracksuit, Antonio Conte in a suit. Standard.

CHELSEA vs EVERTON - LINE-UPS

19:40: Quick reminder of those starting XI’s to save you the arduous task of scrolling down for 12 seconds.

Chelsea XI: Caballero, Rudiger, Christensen, Cahill, Zappacosta, Drinkwater, Ampadu, Kenedy, Willian, Batshuayi, Musonda.

Subs: Eduardo, Clarke-Salter, Sterling, Scott, Fabregas, Pedro, Morata.

BREAKING NEWS

19:38: Leicester have announced Claude Puel is their new manager. Remember him? The French bloke with one of the worst scoring records in the Premier League…

RHINO WANTS THE JOB

19:35: Everton caretaker manager David Unsworth made no secret of his desire to be given the job on a permanent basis, but knows the only way to achieve his ambition is to get the team back on the winning track.

"It doesn't matter how many games, I'll stand there a proud man and give it everything I've got," the 44-year-old Unsworth, who made 314 appearances for Everton, told a press conference.

The former defender said Koeman paid the price for failing to win - Everton have two league victories in nine games under the Dutchman this season.

"The bottom line for any manager when they lose their job is did you win enough games and unfortunately we're in a position where you're going to say 'no, we haven't'," Unsworth added.

What you reckon Everton fans, would you like Unsworth in charge on a permanent basis? Or would you prefer to answer that in 90-minutes time?

THE QUARTER-FINAL DRAW…

CAN’T DO MUCH WORSE

19:20: Did you know that Ronald Koeman took charge of three games against Chelsea as Everton manager?

Actually, that’s not the interesting fact.

The interesting fact that should go some way to taking the pressure of David Unsworth is that Everton lost with an aggregate score of 10-0…

In fact, the Blues haven't lost a home game against Everton in all competitions since November 1994.

THERE AIN’T NO, DISSATISFACTION…

19:10: Probably the most feeble effort at a Rolling Stones pun in recorded history. Didn’t even nearly work.

Moving swiftly on…

Thibaut Courtois has reiterated that nobody in the Chelsea camp is unhappy with manager Antonio Conte.

Reports claimed Blues players were unhappy with the Italian’s training methods, but Courtois says it’s pure conjecture.

"When a top team has a few bad results the first thing people try to say is that the players are not happy and we're not behind the coach, but against Watford you saw we fought for every moment and we fought when we were down, so everybody can see we're behind the coach," Courtois told the club's official website.

"Those rumours are easy to spread but I don't think they are true. If somebody is unhappy, instead of going to the press I think they would say it internally, so it's not true.”

TWITTER ROUND-UP

John: This match will be vital to Musonda's Chelsea career. A positive performance could see him become a Premier League alternative to Pedro and Willian.

Alan: Exciting line up by Chelsea. Finally get to see Drinkwater in action for the Blues but it's Ampadu's start that's got me excited!

Bob: Rhino giving more of his U23's the game time they deserve tonight!

TOTTENHAM vs WEST HAM

19:00: Here’s the sides battling it out at Wembley tonight. Some suggestion it could decide Slaven Bilic’s future. I seem to remember that being the case last season, and look what happened...

Tottenham XI: Vorm, Trippier, Foyth, Alderweireld, Davies, Rose, Dier, Sissoko, Dele, Son, Llorente.

Subs: Gazzaniga, Sanchez, Walker-Peters, Dembele, Winks, Eriksen, Nkoudou.

West Ham XI: Adrian, Byram, Ogbonna, Rice, Kouyate, Cresswell, Noble, Fernandes, Lanzini, Ayew, Carroll.

Subs: Hart, Fonte, Masuaku, Obiang, Arnautovic, Hernandez, Haksabanovic.

TEAM NEWS - CHELSEA

18:55: And now for the hosts. Antonio Conte has made nine changes from the victory over Watford.

As expected, Alvaro Morata is rested ahead of Saturday’s visit to Bournemouth with Michy Batshuayi starting.

There’s also a debut for fit-again Danny Drinkwater, and 17-year-old Ethan Ampadu, who arrived from Exeter over the summer.

The back four is pretty settled, while Kenedy and Musonda are aided by first-team regular Willian in attack.

TEAM NEWS - EVERTON

18:50: Let’s start with the visitors. David Unsworth has made some pretty bold changes from the side Ronald Koeman selected to be whipped by Arsenal.

There’s a senior debut for 19-year-old Beni Baningime. He’s a holding midfielder and was pivotal for Unsworth's Under-23s last season if you were wondering.

Elsewhere James McCarthy and Aaron Lennon are welcomed back to the first-team action after a lengthy absence.

Wayne Rooney starts as a striker with Oumar Niasse, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin on the bench.

18:40: Carabao is Thailand’s second most popular energy drink, behind another beverage called M-150 (which sounds like a ballistic missile) and tastes like Calpol.

But I’m contractually obliged to tell you that WHEN YOU NEED A PHYSICAL OR MENTAL BOOST, CARABAO GIVES YOU THE ENERGY TO FACE THE BATTLE AHEAD.

Not really, but I thought you should know how ridiculous their slogan is.

18:35: Just one other match happening tonight as West Ham make the short trip to Wembley to take on Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham (8pm).

GOOD EVENING

18:30: Welcome to our LIVE coverage of Chelsea vs Everton from Stamford Bridge.

What a whirlwind it's been on Merseyside.

The Toffees were hammered to a supposedly vulnerable Arsenal, Ronald Koeman lost his job and cult hero David Unsworth aka Unzy, Rhino, or simply Dave was promoted to caretaker manager.

All part of the Premier League merry-go-round I suppose.

But it’s a tricky assignment against Antonio Conte’s Chelsea, who returned to winning ways against Watford on Saturday.

And as nobody ever says, anything can happen in the Carabao Cup…

David Unsworth admits he would like to manage Everton

CHELSEA vs EVERTON - PREVIEW

Antonio Conte could field a strong-looking Chelsea squad for tonight’s Carabao Cup clash with Everton at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues' Italian boss will look to build on Saturday's 4-2 league win over Watford with a strong performance in cup action.

Danny Drinkwater (calf), N'Golo Kante (hamstring) and Victor Moses (hamstring) will all miss out again.

Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye is suspended for the trip to Chelsea after his red card against Arsenal at the weekend.

Morgan Schneiderlin, who missed Sunday's game with a knock, is fit again while fellow midfielder James McCarthy has trained after a knee problem.

Interim manager David Unsworth insists there will be no big changes but he will look to introduce a more attacking style.

Chelsea provisional squad: Courtois, Caballero, Rudiger, Alonso, Fabregas, Morata, Hazard, Pedro, Bakayoko, Luiz, Kenedy, Musonda, Zappacosta, Willian, Batshuayi, Cahill, Christensen, Azpilicueta, Clarke-Salter, Scott, Eduardo, Ampadu, Sterling.

Everton provisional squad: Pickford, Holgate, Jagielka, Keane, Baines, Schneiderlin, Davies, Vlasic, Sigurdsson, Rooney, Calvert-Lewin, Robles, Martina, Kenny, Williams, McCarthy, Mirallas, Lennon, Klaassen, Lookman, Niasse.
