Jose Mourinho will QUIT Man Utd for PSG when he wins Champions League - report

MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho is targeting the Champions League - and reportedly will leave for PSG if the Red Devils win Europe's biggest competition.

Pearce: Mourinho using tactic by publicly criticising players

Mourinho is currently in his second season at Manchester United, and is aiming to win the club a first Champions League title since 2008.

The Red Devils have made a stunning start to this year's competition, winning all three of their group games against FC Basel, CSKA Moscow and Benfica so far.

However, Mourinho's future at Old Trafford is shrouded in uncertainty with the 54-year-old recently admitting he would not be ending his career at United.

And Spanish website Don Balon have sensationally claimed that Jose Mourinho intends on deserting his post if United win the biggest trophy of them all this campaign.

Despite being regarded as one of the biggest clubs in world football, United's record in the Champions League is underwhelming.

They first won the trophy back in 1968, with the likes of George Best, Sir Bobby Charlton and Denis Law firing them to glory just 10 years after the Munich Air Disaster.

However, not even the great Sir Alex Ferguson experienced much joy in the tournament, winning it just twice during his 26 years at the helm.

Don Balon say Mourinho is hellbent on landing the trophy at the first time of asking.

But, in bad news for Red Devils fans, the former Chelsea boss then supposedly plans to take over at PSG.

Unai Emery is under pressure this season, knowing he must win silverware after a woeful debut campaign last term.

Even club talisman Neymar is said to be in favour of Mourinho taking Emery's job next season.

And what the prince of Paris wants, the club's directors will no doubt ensure happens.
