Chelsea stars look sharp in training ahead of Everton clash despite ongoing injury woes

CHELSEA players have been snapped being put through their paces ahead of facing Everton in the Carabao Cup tomorrow (7.45pm).

The likes of Danny Drinkwater, David Luiz and Tiemoue Bakayoko were all pictured training at Cobham on Tuesday along with youngsters Ethan Ampadu, Charly Musonda and Andreas Christensen.

Manager Antonio Conte had been expected to rotate his squad to face Everton but shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois admits injury problems mean the boss is running out of options.

“With injuries, maybe we don't have the possibility to rotate a lot so we will have to see what team the manager puts out, but I don't think it's a moment to relax,” Courtois said.

“It’s a different kind of pressure than the Champions League, where we are doing well and we want to stay top of the group.

“In the Premier League we have to fight to keep on winning games and the Carabao Cup is something else, so we must try to do our best and go far.”

Conte will be without Victor Moses and N'Golo Kante while Drinkwater is continuing his recovery from a calf injury which has kept him sidelined since joining the Blues on deadline day.

However, Chelsea looked to be in good spirits as they were put through their paces in training.
