Michy Batshuayi has struggled to get regular game time under Antonio Conte

Batshuayi was unable to press his claims for a first-team spot last night as to reach the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

The 24-year-old lasted 85 minutes before he was replaced by Alvaro Morata.

Antonio Rudiger and Willian grabbed the goals as the Blues put their names in the hat for today’s draw (4pm).

While Batshuayi has struggled to get regular game time under Conte, the Italian insists he is still a vital member of his squad.
