Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater moved to Stamford Bridge from Leicester in August for about £40m

The England midfielder sealed a deadline day move to Stamford Bridge from Leicester in a deal worth about £40m.

But he suffered a calf injury just a few days later and subsequently missed 10 games, including six in the Premier League.

Drinkwater was deemed fit enough to make his Chelsea debut in last night’s Carabao Cup showdown with Everton.

And he came through that encounter, which the Blues won 2-1, unscathed before being replaced by Cesc Fabregas in the second half.

In the wake of that victory, Conte was asked how many weeks it will be until Drinkwater is 100 per cent fit.

And he suggested the 27-year-old could be available to face West Brom from the off on Saturday November 18 (3pm).

Conte said: "We will have three games before the international break and to see him fit 100 per cent may be after the international break.

Chelsea will be out to continue their winning run when they return to Premier League action this weekend.

The west Londoners visit the Vitality Stadium on Saturday (5.30pm) to take on Eddie Howe's Bournemouth.
