Man Utd news: Martial vs Rashford battle a nice headache for Mourinho - BT Sport man Jenas

MANCHESTER UNITED stars Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have given Jose Mourinho a "nice headache" this season.

Martial fires warning towards Rashford after scoring winner

That’s the verdict of former Premier League ace Jermaine Jenas in the wake of the duo’s outings against his old side, Tottenham.

Martial and Rashford have been battling it out for a starting spot on the left-hand side of Mourinho’s team this term.

And Mourinho continued his policy of picking one of them from the off when Tottenham visited Old Trafford this lunchtime.

Rashford started with Henrikh Mkhitaryan behind central striker Romelu Lukaku for the showdown with fellow title-chasers Spurs.

And he’s getting the best out of both, which is perfect for Mourinho

He was replaced mid-way through the second-half by Martial, who popped up with an 81st-minute winner to close the gap on leaders Manchester City.

Jenas discussed Mourinho’s decision to rotate Martial and Rashford while appearing as a pundit on BT Sport.

And he suggested that approach has so far borne out the ideal results for the United gaffer.

Jenas said: "He does start them both anyway. He chops between the both of them anyway.

"And he’s getting the best out of both, which is perfect for Mourinho.

"It is, yeah [a nice headache]."

Robbie Savage weighed in on the debate over which is the superior player.

He said: "That tweet: ‘Martial is far better than Rashford’. No [it’s wrong]."

And Jenas agreed, adding: "[That tweet] is ridiculous. They should be banned from Twitter."

Next up for United is Tuesday night’s Champions League group stage tie against Benfica (7.45pm).
