Chelsea news: Antonio Conte gives N’Golo Kante injury update

N’GOLO KANTE will be fit to face Roma in the Champions League on Tuesday (7.45pm).

Chelsea star N’Golo Kante forced off with injury

The tireless midfielder has not featured since the Blues’ 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in September, missing the last five matches.

The France star pulled his hamstring muscle while on international duty three weeks ago.

But boss Antonio Conte has now confirmed Kante is available for selection and could start against Roma.

“Kante trained with us, also before the game at Bournemouth,” Conte said.

We had three starters out, but we have recovered Drinkwater and Kante.

“I think it is very important in this moment to speak to the player and important the player’s sensation. 

“I was a player and I know very well after an injury, a bad injury, it is very important to listen to the player which are the sensation. For him and the team, tomorrow we try to make the best decision.”

Conte also confirmed that Danny Drinkwater ha recovered from his calf injury.

Kante was injured while on international duty with France

“We had three starters out, but we have recovered Drinkwater and Kante,” Conte added.

However, wing-back Victor Moses is still ruled out with a hamstring problem.

“Moses needs more time.” he said.
