Chelsea news: The Roma performance was the worst under Antonio Conte, says Gerrard
That is according to BT Sport pundit and former Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard.
Chelsea were beaten 3-0 by Roma thanks to a brace from Stephan El Shaarawy and a second-half strike from Diego Perotti.
Gerrard puts the performance down to constant changes at the back, saying Antonio Conte does not know his best side.
“I think that’s up there with the worst I’ve seen Chelsea since he’s come in,” Gerrard said.

“They seem to be changing it week in, week out.
“He doesn’t seem to know his strongest three, what positions they should be in.
“Gary Cahill one minute is left centre-back, then he’s right centre-back.

“The Chelsea sides over the years are always strong defensively, they all know what they’re doing, they’re all in the right positions and it’s a solid machine.
“At the moment it doesn’t look nowhere near that.”
Defeat is not a disaster for Chelsea though, as Atletico Madrid only drew 1-1 at home to Qarabag.
The Blues need just one win from their remaining two games to secure qualification out of the group.
