Tottenham vs Real Madrid: Le Tissier has backed Spurs to win the Champions League clash

That is the view of Sky Sports pundit and former Southampton striker Matt Le Tissier.

Alli makes his first Champions League appearance of the season for Tottenham after returning from suspension.

Kane has recovered from the hamstring injury he suffered in the 4-1 win over Liverpool 10 days ago and starts.

The England striker missed the Carabao Cup tie with West Ham and the trip to Manchester United last week, both games Spurs went on to lose.

Tottenham claimed a credible point two weeks ago at the Bernabeu, coming away with a 1-1 draw.

And Le Tissier has backed the Premier League side to beat Real Madrid and secure qualification for the last-16 tonight.

“It will be difficult but I think the game two weeks ago would have given them a great deal of belief,” he said of Tottenham.

“The fact that they’ve now started winning games at Wembley, a great victory against Liverpool.

Tottenham vs Real Madrid: Harry Kane and Dele Alli can lead Spurs to victory, says Le Tissier

“The (Borussia) Dortmund win was a huge win.

“They’ve proved they can go out and beat big teams there.

“I think with Harry Kane who looks like is going to be fit, Dele Alli also available again after his ban, I think these are both things that can lift Tottenham.

“I think they can get the win tonight.”

Le Tissier was proved right, as Tottenham won the game 3-1 thanks to a brace from Dele Alli and one from Christian Eriksen.
