Arsenal star Theo Walcott is yet to start a Premier League game this season

That's according to former Gunners forward Charlie Nicholas, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports.

Walcott is yet to start a Premier League game this term and has been restricted to eight appearances in all competitions.

The 28-year-old was on the bench for Saturday's top flight showdown with Swansea but was not brought on by Wenger.

Nicholas has now had his say on Walcott's situation and suggested he may have to move on when the transfer window opens.

He really needs to consider his future

Nicholas told Sky Sports: "It is awkward for Theo Walcott.

"I don't think Arsene Wenger trusts him and he isn't even getting off the bench in the Premier League now, so he really needs to consider his future."

Walcott is likely to feature for Arsenal in Thursday night's Europa League clash against Red Star Belgrade.

Nicholas believes Wenger's side will have too much for the Serbians and has predicted a 2-0 home win.

Nicholas said: "Belgrade weren't bad in the reverse fixture and clearly have some talented youngsters in their ranks, but Arsenal have quality in depth.

"It will largely be the kids mixed in with a few players looking to play their way into Arsene Wenger's thoughts for Super Sunday's clash with Manchester City.

"I see another comfortable night even if Arsenal, even if the mass changes makes it more complicated than it would be otherwise."

Arsenal sit fifth in the Premier League ahead of Sunday's Manchester City clash.
