And Emre Can was named the starting XI as Jurgen Klopp made four changes to the side which beat Huddersfield last weekend.
However, after a dull opening half, the Anfield faithful were quick to criticise Can’s work-rate and “pathetic needless runs”.
The Germany international did make up for his poor first half with a goal in the second however, it didn’t stop Liverpool fans slamming the midfielder on social media.
The Reds eventually ran out 3-0 winners to maintain their superiority in their Champions League group.
