Man Utd to beat Chelsea - Wilkins

12:20: Ray Wilkins believes Manchester United will beat Chelsea if N'Golo Kante is unfit to play.

He told Sky Sports: “If [N’Golo] Kante is not fit I can see Mata coming into the situation because Jose must be looking at it having watched Chelsea in Rome the other night, they are struggling.

“And he has got the best possible chance of going to Stamford Bridge and clawing back three points which Manchester City got.

“He must feel they have every opportunity to win this game because Chelsea are lacking confidence, the players aren’t playing to their ability or to their strengths.

“And this is an opportunity for Manchester United to come to Stamford Bridge and take the game away from Chelsea.

“I can honestly see a Manchester United victory.”

Chelsea like Arsenal without Kante - Merson

11:40: Chelsea play like Arsenal when N’Golo Kante is missing, says Paul Merson.

“The main thing that concerns me is if N'Golo Kante doesn't play they are like Arsenal without the ball,” he told Sky Sports.

“When Kante and Nemanja Matic played last season they just won it back so quickly.

“I like Tiemoue Bakayoko but it is going to take him a lot of time to adapt and Cesc Fabregas is great for his passing and guile but he's a liability when they don't have the ball.

“I don't think they are title contenders and I think if they can get in the top four, win the FA Cup and get to the quarter-finals of the Champions League then that would represent a good season.

“From what I saw on Tuesday night they've got no chance of winning the Champions League though.

“I thought they were excellent in beating Atletico Madrid but what has happened to them in the last few weeks has put that into perspective.”

Chelsea struggling without Moses - Lampard

10:45: Frank Lampard reckons Chelsea are struggling without the injured Victor Moses.

“Moses is a miss,” Lampard said when asked about the 26-year-old’s impact.

“You wouldn’t of thought that 18 months ago with what he’s given them in the right-wing back position.

“He [Conte] is covering it with Cesar Azpilicueta, he’s covering it with Davide Zappacosta but it’s affecting the whole back five.

“And I think he will want to get back to knowing what his three is and working on it through the week.

“The players are going to have to react because I don’t think Conte is a manager that will change his way. He might change players in the team but they’ll have to work,” the former Chelsea midfielder concluded.

Kante fitness race

09:30: N’Golo Kante says he is 50-50 to play for Chelsea against Manchester United on Sunday.

According to the Independent, Kante indicated he is touch and go to feature on the weekend while walking through the mixed zone after Tuesday evening’s 3-0 loss to Roma.

Conte sack shock

09:00: Roman Abramovich has decided to sack Antonio Conte, according to stunning reports in Spain.

Spanish newspaper Marca claim the Chelsea owner has had enough of Conte’s failings with the Blues nine points off league leaders Manchester City in the title race.

And on Tuesday they lost 3-0 to Roma in the Champions League.

Abramovich is supposedly on the look-out for a new head coach and rarely speaks to Conte.

Arsenal eye Musonda

08:30: Arsenal are reportedly interested in Chelsea ace Charly Musonda.

The Belgian has expressed his unhappiness about not playing more for the club with just five appearances so far this season.

French outlet Foot Mercato claims the 21-year-old has told Chelsea he will not sign a new contract.

And the report says Arsenal are ready to make a ‘firm’ offer for him.
