Man Utd News: Has Jose Mourinho dropped a hint stars could feature against Chelsea?

MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho may have hinted to expect a few surprises when the Red Devils face Chelsea this Sunday.

"Shut up and get on with your job" Roy Keane blasts Mourinho

Manchester United have been plagued by injuries in recent weeks.

Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini both enjoyed stellar starts to the new campaign, only to have injury problems stop them from kicking on.

Mourinho has previously refused to even discuss their returns, instead insisting he was in the dark over when they would be back in action.

But the United manager may have hinted that players could return against Chelsea on Sunday - refusing to state if they would or would not.

"We have to wait a little bit," he told reporters ahead of the weekend's showdown.

"Normally the press conference is a bit later in the week - we still have Friday and Saturday.

“I’m not very optimistic, but I don’t want to lie by saying there’s no chance of recovering, so I prefer just to say two more days to confirm my expectation.”

Mourinho will be returning to Chelsea for the third time since being axed in December 2015.

And the 54-year-old insists games against his old side are 'different.'

“I have to admit it’s a little bit different but, in the end, I want to win," he added.

“It’s a big match because they are the champions but, by the emotional point of view, it’s just one more game.

"It is a big match, it is between two of the top teams in the country.
