Liverpool news: Steve Nicol would still prefer Jurgen Klopp to Mauricio Pochettino
Liverpool boss Klopp has come under criticism this season, with his side already 12 points off Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table after 10 games.
Pochettino on the other hand has seen his Tottenham side storm through a difficult-looking Champions League group, securing qualification with a hugely impressive 3-0 win over Real Madrid last night.
Spurs are eight points behind City though after their late 1-0 loss to Manchester United last Saturday.
The ESPN FC pundits were comparing the impact Pochettino and Klopp have had on their respective clubs.

They were posed a question from one viewer, who asked: “Is there an argument to make that Pochettino has only had 12 months more than Klopp to build his team?
“I don’t think Liverpool will reach Spurs’ level next year.”
Nicol accepts Pochettino has done a better job than Klopp to date, but still says he would have the German over his Tottenham counterpart.
“Well if you’re comparing the two managers, then there is absolutely no question who at this present time has built the better side, and that’s Mauricio Pochettino,” he said.

“I’m still in the Klopp camp, but I can’t argue with what that says.
“Pochettino has definitely done a better job so far than Klopp.
“Jurgen Klopp’s still got a little bit of leeway and he has to sort that backline out.
“I like the way they (Liverpool) play.”
