Chelsea have been widely mocked for the performance in Italy, with videos circulating on social media of their terrible defending.
And the latest reports suggest Conte took the embarrassment of a humbling loss on the return to his homeland out on his players when they returned to training.
According to The Telegraph, Conte gave his players the hair-dryer treatment at the club's Cobham training ground.
His anger was thought to have centred on Chelsea's awful defending, which saw David Luiz, Antonio Rudiger and Cesar Azpilicueta all unsuccessfully track Edin Dzeko at one point.
Their second-half surrender, when they never looked like getting back into the game, drew Conte's ire too.
The third reason Chelsea's 3-0 loss dismayed Conte was apparently the lack of leadership shown by his players.
Club captain Gary Cahill was subbed off in the 56th minute against Roma and Conte is said to have felt nobody took charge in his place.

The Telegraph say Conte made examples of the worst offenders, as well as taking aim at Kenedy.
The Brazilian winger was an unused substitute against Roma but angered Conte by yawning during the meeting at Cobham.
Conte is thought to have warned the showing cannot be repeated and signalled he expects to stick around by warning anyone who does not improve in future will be dropped.
The Telegraph claim Conte has still got the backing of Chelsea chiefs, despite their struggles this season.
And that stance is thought to be motivated by an acceptance of the impact of injuries and suspensions, coupled with Chelsea's below-par summer transfer window.

Chelsea's senior players are believed to have felt they deserved Conte's outburst.
And they are said to acknowledge the fact they must take greater responsibility on the pitch, rather than relying on solutions to be found for them.
Chelsea will be keen to get back to winning ways when they return to Premier League action this Sunday.
