Chelsea news: Cesc Fabregas makes Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho admission

CESC FABREGAS has admitted he is in constant contact with Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger.

Fabregas opens up about his move from Barcelona to Arsenal

The 30-year-old is currently enjoying an extended role in Chelsea’s starting line-up this campaign after being relegated to a fringe player last season.

However, he still played a pivotal role in Antonio Conte winning the Premier League in his debut term at Chelsea with 12 goals and eight assists from just 13 Premier League starts.

It is the second title Fabregas has won in the English top flight after winning the league with Chelsea under Mourinho in 2015.

But things quickly turned sour for the Portuguese coach as he was unceremoniously sacked by the Blues just months later.

Apart from Arsene Wenger, the one I have the most contact with is Jose

Chelsea had lost nine of 16 league games and were just one point above the relegation zone in the week leading up to Christmas at the time of Mourinho’s sacking.

Mourinho was the man who brought Fabregas back to England in 2014 following a three-year stint with Barcelona.

And the Spanish midfielder admits he still holds a good rapport with the current Manchester United manager, as well as Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

“With Mourinho I had an incredible year in my first season – it was one of the best seasons of my career,” he told the BBC’s Premier League Show.

“We still talk today. He is probably the manager that I have had the best feeling and connection for.

“Apart from Arsene Wenger, the one I have the most contact with is Jose.”
