Real Madrid news: Marco Asensio may join Manchester United because of Alvaro Morata

REAL MADRID star Marco Asensio reportedly has offers from Manchester United, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain to leave the club.

Asensio started the season in fine form, firing Real Madrid to the Spanish Super Cup with goals in both games against fierce rivals Barcelona.

However, the Spain international has struggled for game time since with manager Zinedine Zidane often leaving him on the bench.

Asensio’s stock is high and Spanish outlet Don Balon claim the player has three offers to leave the Bernabeu.

And United are among the clubs looking to prise him away from Zidane’s struggling outfit.

All is not well over in the capital with Real Madrid a far cry from the side that waltzed to the La Liga and Champions League titles last term.

They appear to be missing Alvaro Morata, who left the club for Chelsea in a £70million move back in the summer.

And Don Balon say that Asensio is thinking of following Morata’s lead in leaving the club.

Morata chose to leave after struggling for game time and Asensio fears he may end up stuck on the bench regularly just like his compatriot.

That could play into United’s hand with the Red Devils keen to make him their new wing wizard.

However, Jose Mourinho is not the only manager looking to secure his signature.

Asensio is also admired across town with Manchester City among the clubs keeping tabs on his current situation.

Additionally, Paris Saint-Germain are circling.

But, speaking in September, Asensio ruled out a move to France after labelling Neymar’s move from Barcelona ‘strange’.

“No, I would not go to PSG. I am very happy here,” he said.

"It seemed strange to us that Neymar left Barcelona.

“He was an important player for them and [the fact] that they could not keep him is a little strange."
