Fowler’s prediction 

17:32: Robbie Fowler admits Liverpool are favourites to beat West Ham this weekend but ays the Hammers could exploit their weak defence.

“On paper yeah Liverpool are favourites but they won’t go there and think they are automatically favourites,” Fowler said.

“They’ve got to go out there and do all the right things. If you go out there with the attitude that you’re favourites you’ll become unstuck.

“Liverpool’s vulnerability at the minute is their defence of set pieces. 

“With some of the strength, power and play from West Ham the defensive frailties from set pieces are a way they could go down.”

Moreno gets Spain call

12.04:Alberto Moreno has been called up to the Spain squad after returning to action at Liverpool.

Moreno was frozen out last year but has come back into Jurgen Clop’s thinking this term.

He has started 14 of 17 games this term despite the arrival of Andrew Robertson and James Milner’s form last year.

Spain play Costa Rica and Russia during the international break.

Striker reveals exit thoughts

09.45: Divock Origi has hinted he could leave Liverpool on a permanent deal.

The Belgium striker is on loan at Wolfsburg and is enjoying his time in Germany.

“I feel really well here. It’s a nice club and I am having a good time,” he said.

“I can grow here. And you can never rule anything out in football.”

Madrid eye shock Coutinho move

09.30: Real Madrid have made contact with Liverpool over a deal for Philippe Coutinho.

Barcelona have tracked Coutinho since the summer and want to make a move for him in January.

But Madrid have now entered the race, according to Mundo Deportivo, and will battle Barca for the Brazil star.

Coutinho submitted a transfer request in the summer to try and force a move to Barcelona but Liverpool held strong and rejected all the bids.

However the case is not over and could take a fresh twist with Madrid now also in the race.
