19:50: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "The result, it feels good. We changed our approach, it was a counter-attacking line-up to use our speed from a deep situation. It was brilliant play for the first goal.

"Our counter-attacking was pretty perfect, we had some wonderful play. Roberto Firmino, I'm not sure I've ever seen a player play a third game in the week with such intensity and I'm a few days in this business.

"3-0, 3-0, 4-1, it's a really good week. It's a good moment to have a little break. We lost our skipper overnight and Gini Wijnaldum did not have his boots here.

"We thought he had no chance of playing, we only brought him here so he is nearer to Amsterdam, he was flying there to see the doctor. And he played 90 minutes. Sadio Mane is a naturally fit player, he could have played the 90 minutes after just one training session."

19:35: Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah: "We started the game very well and scored in the beginning which helped us to make the game easy. It's a good result in the end. I was confident to come to England again but I have to carry on."

19:30: Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain: "It was definitely not an easy game Mo! It was intense, especially when they made it 2-1. We defended well, they went long to Andy Carroll and we knew that on the counter we are a big threat. We proved that time and time again."

FT: Was that Slaven Bilic’s last match as West Ham manager? Possibly. The Hammers were battered from pillar to post by a rampant Liverpool, who secure a third-consecutive victory.

THREE MINUTES ADDED TIME

89: This is genuinely painful to watch now. Liverpool have a 3v3 situation each time they win the ball back. James Milner again wastes the chance.

88: Dejan Lovren’s coming on for some unknown reason. Build-up his confidence maybe? The centre-back replaces Roberto Firmino. Dominic Solanke is also on for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

86: How’s it not 5-1? Three West Ham defended are sucked to ball and James Milner strides into acres of space before tamely shooting wide. To call that defending schoolboy would be an insult to schoolboys.

84: Oxlade-Chamberlain almost makes it five but his effort pings around the penalty area before Reid clears it to the moon.

81: Salah has the perfect opportunity to wrap up his hat-trick but Joe Hart makes the save. Barely anyone left in the stadium wearing claret and blue.

78: Mohamed Salah has had a hand in 15 goals in all competitions this season (12 goals, 3 assists), more than any other Liverpool player.

76: Game, set and match.

Liverpool catch West Ham sleeping and the deadly Mohamed Salah punishes them with a clinical half-volley from Sadio Mane’s cross.

Home supporters are leaving in droves, and I don’t blame them.

75: Slaven Bilic makes his third and final change with Diafra Sakho replacing Javier Hernandez. I may have forgot to mention that Marko Arnautovic came on for Mark Noble during that frenetic period. My bad.

72: Javier Hernandez wants a penalty after Alberto Moreno leans into him when challenging for a cross. I think he went down too easily, but you’ve seen them given. Roberto Firmino drives up the other end but snatches his angled shot wide.

69: The frantic ten minutes comes to an abrupt end as Andy Carroll goes down clutching his back. The four West Ham physios run on in unison like the Red Arrows. He’s up and about now.

66: I don’t know what’s going on with Liverpool. They were absolutely cruising and all of a sudden, it’s mayhem with West Ham tails firmly up.

63: Free-kick to West Ham a few yards in from the left touchline… over. Lanzini picked out Hernandez but his glancing header flies over.

60: Chaos, this is absolute chaos. Simon Mignolet gets in a foot-race with Javier Hernandez and JUST wins. Would have been a penalty if the Mexico international got there first.

58: Can Lanzini do it again… nope! Ayew plays a simple ball over to the Argentine in an identical situation to the first, but this time he spoons it over.

WEST HAM 1-3 LIVERPOOL - OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN

56: Oh for God sake! 55 seconds after dragging themselves back into contention, West Ham have conceded.

Oxlade-Chamberlain's initial low drive is stopped by Hart but he manages to find the net with his rebounding effort!

WEST HAM 1-2 LIVERPOOL - LANZINI

55: Did I say they hadn’t created any chances?! Well they have now!

Andre Ayew plays a diagonal ball over to Manuel Lanzini, who shrugs off Joe Gomez before dinking it home.

Do we have a proper age on our hands?

55: The home side are seeing lots of possession but they’ve not penetrated once. Lots of nice passing around the centre-circle…

52: Salah plays a nice ball back to the onrushing Mane, but his first-time effort flies over.

48: The Hammers win a corner shortly after the restart. And again, Liverpool break but Reid decides to hack Sadio Mane down before he can do any damage. Yellow.

Liverpool have been far from the free-flowing best, but in truth, they didn’t need to be to knock a couple past West Ham.

44: Mo Salah races through but takes a heavy touch and Reid makes a covering tackle.

43: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain should play the early pass to Roberto Firmino, but he delays and the chance is gone.

41: It’s a pretty toxic environment inside the stadium. Fans are understandably frustrated because their side have shown virtually nothing.

38: Andy Carroll is warming up on the sidelines. I don’t think there’s any point in waiting for the half-time whistle. They need him now.

Mark Noble booked for a blatant dive.

36: Sorry if this sounds a bit naive, but West Ham have found themselves in this position before this season. I think we all remember their Carabao Cup comeback against Spurs a few weeks ago. I know, clutching.

33: Not quite sure what West Ham’s plan is here. There’s no pressing and it’s just allowing Liverpool to knock it around at their leisure.

30: Quite a strange one really. There’s been virtually no chances, moments of quality or difference between the sides, yet Liverpool find themselves with a two-goal advantage.

27: Manuel Lanzini looks to set Andre Ayew loose with a long ball forward but he’s sliced it out of play.

24: This could be a very long evening for West Ham.

The Hammers fail to deal with a routine corner and Joel Matip bundles in the loose ball after Joe Hart saved from a deflection.

Jurgen Klopp gives it the fist-pump, while Slaven Bilic looks like he wants the turf to swallow him whole.

22: Liverpool turn defence into attack in the blink of an eye.

West Ham win their first corner of the evening and pile everyone forward. Lanzini’s delivery is cleared with Salah and Mane lying in wait.

Mane collects, drives forward and lays it off to Mohamed Salah to finish past Joe Hart.

21: Sadio Mane doesn’t look right to me. He’s not hobbling or anything, but he’s defiantly not giving 100 per cent. In fact, he’s just pulled out of a tackle to avoid a recurrence of that injury.

18: Very even opening. And thats mainly because this game is being played at a pre-season tempo. It’s a dreadful start for the neutral.

15: Huge boos around the stadium, and with good reason. Hernandez is cynically brought down by Matip on the edge of the area, but Neil Swarbrick isn’t interested.

12: Chance! Should be the opener here at the London Stadium as Lanzini’s deflected through ball falls to Ayew. The forward takes it first-time with the outside of his left foot and clips against the post. Big let-off for Liverpool.

9: Not much to write about in these early stages. West Ham are doing a good job of limiting Liverpool’s chances, but haven’t been able to threaten themselves.

7: Good week for Joe Gomez. Started the last six games at right-back, called-up to the England squad and finds himself in my Fantasy Football team. Very proud moment for him I should imagine…

4: Avert your eyes! Liverpool are wearing that ghastly tangerine away strip. Can’t tell if it makes me hungry or ill…

17:28: We’re almost underway folks. Packed house inside the London Stadium and a cracking rendition of ‘I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles.’ I wonder if West Ham supporters will be as cheerful after the full-time whistle.

17:25: It might surprise you to hear that BT Sport pundit Steven Gerrard thinks Liverpool will romp to a comfortable win here tonight. Frank Lampard thinks the same.

The German tactician said that Sadio Mane might be fit enough for a 20-minute cameo, while Bilic said Andy Carroll was nailed-on to start.

Carroll benched, Mane starts from the off. Well played lads, well played.

Elsewhere Reid and Obiang come in for Zabaleta and Fonte. Mane replaces James Milner, Simon Mignolet is back in goal and Joe Gomez plays at right-back.

WEST HAM vs LIVERPOOL - PREVIEW

West Ham winger Michail Antonio misses out with a hamstring problem.

The Hammers are also short in defence with Pablo Zabaleta suspended and Sam Byram, Jose Fonte and James Collins injured.

But Aaron Cresswell has shaken off the dead leg which forced him off at half-time against Crystal Palace and fellow defender Winston Reid should be fit after missing out at Selhurst Park.

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane could be in line for a surprise recall as his return from a hamstring injury is a fortnight ahead of schedule.

Jurgen Klopp will make late decisions on midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum (ankle) and defender Dejan Lovren (thigh) but playmaker Philippe Coutinho (adductor) is definitely out.
