Morata wants change

13.00: Chelsea must change their fortunes this season starting with a win at Manchester United, insists Alvaro Morata.

Chelsea have dropped off the pace in the Premier League title race and are labouring in Europe.

And £60m summer singing Morata is keen for Antonio Conte’s side to reverse their slump with another win today.

“Now we have the chance to play at home, against Manchester United, and we need to rediscover our winning mentality,” Morata told Chelsea’s website.

“It’s very important for us and the supporters.

“We will need all of them this weekend and we must try to create a difficult atmosphere for Manchester United.

“We are at home and we need to take the three points.

“They are a direct rival so it’s a very important game for us.

“We have a chance to forget the Champions League game.

“That’s another competition and if we go through to the next round nobody will remember one bad match for us.

“Now our focus is on the Premier League.”

Hasselbaink on transfer business

12.10: Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is tipping Chelsea to go shopping in the January transfer window.

"Chelsea and all the clubs will still be looking to improve their squads, that is just normal," Hasselbaink told Express Sport.

"They will be assessing their squad and seeing where they can bring somebody in. 

"I think that's normal. And I think Chelsea is no different."

Antonio Conte splashed out more than £140m on fresh talent over the summer.

And he'll have club-record signing Alvaro Morata among his ranks for today's Manchester United clash.

Lawrenson prediction

11.15: Mark Lawrenson is predicting a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

"Chelsea's 3-0 defeat in the Champions League game at Roma was un-Chelsea-like under Antonio Conte," Lawrenson told BBC Sport.

"Last year we thought they couldn't keep winning, regardless of how they were playing, but they did.

"This year you're waiting for them to throw a wobbler every three or four games. 

"After losing in Rome, Conte said his players are lacking hunger which you can't imagine he would tolerate. It is strange.

"When United play against the other top teams away from home Jose Mourinho will always take a point - as you saw at Liverpool. That is the way he manages and that isn't going to change.

"He will try to fight fire with fire when he can but at Stamford Bridge he will have everyone behind the ball."

Hazard on Mourinho

10.05: Eden Hazard has opened up on his time under Jose Mourinho.

The Chelsea winger told Sky Sports: "When Jose came he tried to make me one of the best players in England and I think he put this in my mind, that it was possible. 

"I started to realise that if I'm playing well in every game I could be one of the best."

Hazard comes face-to-face with Mourinho when Manchester United visit Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

Two stars facing axe

09.15: David Luiz and Gary Cahill could be dropped for today's showdown with Manchester United.

That's according to The Sun, who suggest Antonio Conte was furious with the duo's performances against Roma.

Chelsea slumped to a 3-0 defeat at the Stadio Olimpico on Tuesday with none of the defence covering themself in glory.

And The Sun indicate Luiz and Cahill might pay the price when Jose Mourinho's side visit Stamford Bridge.

Hasselbaink expects Chelsea win

08.20: Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is backing the Blues to beat Manchester United.

Hasselbaink told Express Sport: "I think it's gonna be a tight game. I think there's not gonna be a lot of goals. I think it will be a 1-0. 

"Both teams are going to be quite cautious, that's how I see it. It's gonna be a very tactical game.

"I think it's gonna be a home win. A home, 1-0 win."
