CHELSEA will beat Manchester United this afternoon.

That's the verdict of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who's expecting a tight game at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea welcome United to west London off the back of a record which has seen them pick up 19 points from their opening 10 games.

United are four points better off and could close the gap on Premier League leaders Manchester City to two if they beat the Blues.

Hasselbaink his backing his old side to come out on top from a hard-fought showdown with Jose Mourinho's men though.

Hasselbaink told Express Sport: "I think it's gonna be a tight game. 

"I think there's not gonna be a lot of goals. I think it will be a 1-0. 

"Both teams are going to be quite cautious, that's how I see it.

Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink expects the Blues to beat Manchester United 1-0

"It's gonna be a very tactical game.

"I think it's gonna be a home win. A home, 1-0 win."

Chelsea can leapfrog London rivals Tottenham and move into third this afternoon.

They must beat United and Spurs must lose or draw against Crystal Palace for that to happen.
