Kane, who has scored 17 goals for both club and country this season, only recovered from a hamstring injury this week in time to face Real Madrid.

But he needed treatment after taking a knock to the knee in the first half against Roy Hodgson’s side.

The striker was able to continue up until the 75th minute, when he was replaced by Fernando Llorente.

There were fears that Kane would be forced to sit out of England’s upcoming matches against Germany and Brazil.

The England international was withdrawn 15 minutes from time.

“We’re focusing on our injuries and problems. The most important maybe is that the England national team understand the situation with our players.

“That is the competition. You cannot do too much only have a good relationship with the national team.”

Spurs edged past Palace 1-0 thanks to a Son Heung-min strike, midway through the second half.
