Chelsea news: Antonio Conte responds to AC Milan links

ANTONIO CONTE has responded to speculation linking him with the manager's job at AC Milan.

The Italian has recently openly admitted that he misses his homeland.

And Milan are reportedly close to sacking manager Vincenzo Montella after a nightmare start to the season.

The Rossoneri currently sit eighth in the table and could pull the trigger on  Montella if they fail to beat Sassuolo tonight.

It was reported this morning that Milan would offer Conte the chance to return home.

Antonio Conte guided his side to a 1-0 win against Manchester United today.

But when asked about a move to Milan, the ex-Juventus boss swerved the question.

“Milan? Leave it out,” Conte told Sky Sport Italia.

“We’re trying to stay concentrated, because it’s a tough run from here to the end of the season. 

“I am only concentrated on Chelsea and purely want to do what is best for Chelsea.

Alvaro Morata headed home the goal which ensured the Blues beat United.

“If we have this enthusiasm, we can fight to the end.”

Conte has been under pressure at Stamford Bridge as they sit fourth in table.

However, a 1-0 win against Manchester United today may have bought the Italian more time at Stamford Bridge - if he decides to stay.
