Liverpool news: Jurgen Klopp targets David Silva deal, concerned over Adam Lallana

LIVERPOOL are plotting a move for Manchester City star David Silva, reports claim.

Silva’s current contract expires in 2019 and he has been locked in talks all season over extending his stay.

City are keen to offer their midfield schemer a new deal to keep their rivals at bay.

are weighing up a move for the 31-year-old and will duke it out with AC Milan.

It is also understood Inter will try and prise City reject Eliaquim Mangala from the club too.

At present, Silva is not willing to budge on his wage demands, and he currently takes home around £160,000 a week.

But according to The Sun, Liverpool are also chasing a deal, with Jurgen Klopp not completely sold on Adam Lallana and sees Silva as a suitable alternative.

The England international is sidelined through injury, but the report also suggests the Anfield outfit are bracing themselves for the departure of Emre Can, who has been stalling on signing a new deal.

Liverpool meanwhile, got their season back on the track with a 4-1 win away to West Ham on Saturday.
