The Frenchman has been limited to Europa League and Carabao Cup starts this season.

But he has claimed that he is happy to play back up to the Gunners' record signing Alexandre Lacazette.

And even though game time is currently limited at the Emirates Stadium, he insists he will still give his all when he is called upon by boss Arsene Wenger.

"My best season was in 2015/2016 when I scored 34 goals with Arsenal and the national team, including the Euros," Giroud said.

"Usually I play a bit less with Arsenal but I always try to keep my efficiency high. That's most important for me.
