Atletico eye Ozil

21:14: Mesut Ozil has been contacted by Atletico Madrid over joining them in the summer.

With his contract due to expire at the end of the season, Manchester United are targeting Ozil in January.

But Atletico are keen to snap the World Cup winner up on a free transfer.

And according to The Sun, Ozil is seen as the ideal marquee signing to potentially replace Saul Niguez.

It is said United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to add the 22-year-old Spaniard to his ranks next summer.

And Saul is apparently open to a switch to Old Trafford if Atletico and United can agree a deal.

Neustadter dream

19:25: Fenerbahce centre back Roman Neustadter says he has always hoped that he would sign for Arsenal but he believes the time has passed to realise that dream.

“I like Arsenal’s football, but it seems impossible to transfer to Arsenal, I think I can say that,” he said.

Neustadter has won caps for both Germany and Russia.

Parlour praises Spurs

17:45: Arsenal legend Ray Parlour says it hurts him to admit Tottenham are now a better team than his beloved Gunners.

“It does hurt, I must admit. I have lots of people ask me 'Who is the best side, Tottenham or Arsenal?' and I have to say the league doesn't lie," he told AskFans.

"Tottenham came above Arsenal last season so they are better - simple. It does hurt as it's been a long time since that happened.

“It had to turn around sooner or later, that's law of averages from Spurs' point of view.

"They have got a really good squad, an excellent manager in Pochettino and they are great to watch.”

Ferdinand warns Spurs

15.45: Tottenham have been told that form will go out of the window in Saturday’s north London derby against Arsenal.

Les Ferdinand is one of many ex-players and pundits who believe Spurs are favourites for the clash at the Emirates.

However, after spending six years at Tottenham, he knows that means nothing coming into these games.

“I think you’d have to make Spurs favourites at the moment,” Ferdinand told Sky Sports.

“But everyone knows when you go into a derby game, form goes out of the window.

“It’s what it means to the players.”

Wright sents NLD message to Gunners

15.15: Arsenal legend Ian Wright says the Gunners stars should not care about Tottenham’s recent rise.

Wright believes form should not affect the players and has told the Arsenal stars they must go into the game with confidence they can beat Tottenham.

“I was just asked about the London derby and they’ve just beaten Real Madrid and beaten them convincingly and they were very impressive,” he told Sky Sports.

“The derby is something that our players should be going into thinking ‘I don’t care, I don’t care if they’ve got capes on with S on them’.

“They should be looking to beat them.”

Goretzka transfer blow

14:15: Chelsea are leading candidates to sign Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka, reports claim.

The Germany international has courted interest from a number of Premier League after another season of impressive Bundesliga displays.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool have all been linked with the 22-year-old, but Barcelona-based newspaper Sport claim Chelsea have jumped to the front of the queue.

Goretzka’s contract is due to expire in June 2018, and Germany’s general manager, Oliver Bierhoff, recently suggested the talent will move to England.

KDB: We’re unlikely to emulate Arsenal's 'Invincibles'

13:30: Kevin De Bruyne feels Manchester City will not be able to sustain their unbeaten Premier League record for the rest of the season and emulate Arsenal's 'Invincibles'.

"I don't think that will be possible because I think you have so many games and too many important games,” De Bruyne said.

"The power of the Premier League means every team has a lot of money and every team has a lot of quality players, so I think one day or another you will face a team who find a system to beat you, or they have a better day."

Reds to snap-up young talent

12:30: Liverpool are ready to fork out £5million for 17-year-old Wolves midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, according to the Sun.

The teenager, who was part of the England Under-17s team to be crowned world champions last month, has sparked interest from Tottenham and Arsenal too, the paper says.

Fekir battle

11:30: Arsenal will face competition from Real Madrid to sign the France international Nabil Fekir, according to the Sun.

Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane has reportedly been watching the 24-year-old, who plays for French giants Lyon, for some time.

Barcelona and Juventus are also said to be interested in Fekir.

Parlour a fan of Zaha

10:45 Arsenal may be the right club to get the best out of Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha, says Ray Parlour.

Parlour thinks the 25-year-old will improve and says playing in a better team such as Arsenal will improve his goal tally.

“He’s probably lacking a little bit of goals, he gets in some great positions and maybe his end product is not as good as it should be,” he told talkSPORT.

“But I think it will improve and in a better team you might get more out of him. If you can get the best out of him, Zaha, he’s very dangerous on his day.

“He can change a game for you, like he has done in recent weeks for Palace.”

Dembele back for NLD

10:05: Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele is confident he can make his first Premier League start for the club in two months in the weekend's clash at Arsenal after fully recovering from a foot injury.

Dembele, whose progress has also been stalled by a hip issue, has featured just six times in the Premier League this season and played the full 45 minutes after coming on at half time in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace earlier this month.

The Belgian international is targeting a full time return to first team action.

"My injury is much better," Dembele told Sky Sports. "I played 45 minutes in the last game so it is good. Of course, I want to be playing for the team and adding my value but right now I am very optimistic and feel good.

"For us every game is important but we know there is some extra vibe the for this kind of game, it's important for us."

Nabil Fekir pursuit

09:00: Not content with one possible replacement, Arsenal are also believed to be close to completing the £60million capture of Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir.

According to the Daily Star, a deal to bring playmaker Fekir over the English channel is “almost done.”

Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has previously referred to the 24-year-old as “my Lionel Messi.”

And he has scored 12 goals in 15 appearances this season.

If the deal is completely then Fakir would once again link up with ex-Lyon teammate Alexandre Lacazette.

Wenger wants Zaha

08:30: Arsene Wenger reportedly believes Wilfried Zaha is the ideal replacement for Alexis Sanchez.

The Chile international is expected to leave Arsenal by the end of the season, with Manchester City the likely destination.

And, according to The Sun, Wenger has already told the club who he wants to be drafted in to take Sanchez's place.

The Sun claim Arsenal are eyeing a deal to bring Zaha to the Emirates, and are willing to offer £35million for the 25-year-old.
