Arsenal news: Parlour makes claim about Wilfried Zaha replacing Alexis Sanchez in January

ARSENAL may be the right club to get the best out of Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha.

Ray Parlour: If you get best out of Zaha he will be DANGEROUS

That is the view of former Arsenal and England midfielder Ray Parlour.

Zaha has been linked with a move to the Gunners in recent days ahead of the January transfer window.

Reports claim Arsenal are looking to bring the Ivory Coast international in as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who is out of contract at the end of the season and could leave in January.

Parlour says Zaha has not scored enough goals so far in his Premier League career at Palace and previously in the short spell he had at Manchester United.

But certainly if you can get the best out of him, Wifried Zaha, he’s very dangerous on his day

But he thinks the 25-year-old will improve and playing in a better team such as Arsenal will improve his goal tally.

“He’s a player that can run at you, he’s got great pace,” Parlour said of the Crystal Palace man on talkSPORT.

“He’s probably lacking a little bit of goals, he gets in some great positions and maybe his end product is not as good as it should be.

“But I think it will improve and in a better team you might get more out of him.

Alexis Sanchez, you’re going to be losing 25 goals a season. That’s the big problem Arsenal have, how do you replace that?

“Whether Zaha will be the man, I don’t think he scores as many goals as he should do because he gets in some really good areas.

“But certainly if you can get the best out of him, Zaha, he’s very dangerous on his day.

“He can change a game for you, like he has done in recent weeks for Palace.”
