Pep Guardiola's side were frustrated at home by Everton on Monday and they will be eager to bounce back with a convincing victory after narrowly avoiding defeat.
Bournemouth, on the other hand, are still searching for their first league win of the season, having lost to Watford and West Brom.

While they are among the favourites to win the title, Manchester City have looked far from convincing in their opening two games and Guardiola's team are under pressure to string a series of results together, especially with the likes of Manchester United flying out of the traps.
The Catalan coach may have described his side's 1-1 draw against the Toffees as "one of the proudest days of [his] life" but the fans are not likely to share that view and they will be demanding three points against a struggling Cherries outfit ahead of a crunch encounter with Liverpool at the Etihad a week later.
After a disappointing start to the season, Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus will be determined to show that they can work together, particularly Jesus, who was withdrawn at half-time against Everton and watched on from the bench as his replacement Raheem Sterling scored City's crucial equaliser.
Guardiola will be forced into a making a change in defence with the suspension of Walker, but he may also opt to shake things up in attack as he looks for his players to gather momentum.
