Huddersfield Town v Manchester United Betting: Red Devils to earn comfortable win at the John Smith’s Stadium

Huddersfield Town will be hoping to pull off a shock win when they welcome Manchester United to the John Smith’s Stadium for Saturday’s Premier League clash.

After opening the season with two consecutive wins, David Wagner’s men have not won any of their following six in the league, but are on offer at 9/1 (10.00)  with SportPesa to cause an upset in this one.

However, with 10 wins and no defeats to their name in 12 fixtures in all competitions this campaign, the Red Devils are clear 5/14 (1.36) favourites to come out on top here.

Two of the hosts’ last three league matches on home soil have resulted in draws, and there are odds of 4/1 (5.00) available on them claiming a creditable point on this occasion.

Although even the most optimistic fan would not have expected the winning start to their first top flight campaign since 1972 to last, the Terriers’ comedown has been rather dramatic since they claimed six points from the first available six.

Without a win in the subsequent six games, the newly-promoted outfit have also found the net just once in that period - conceding nine at the other end of the pitch.

In contrast, Jose Mourinho’s team have only failed to score in one of their opening eight matches so far in the league, and kept a clean sheet in seven of those fixtures themselves.

This defensive solidity has been a particular hallmark under the former Chelsea boss, who has seen his side concede a record low of 19 goals and keep a record high of 21 clean sheets since a 4-0 defeat against his former side on matchday nine of last season.

All things considered, odds of 20/23 (1.87) are not to be missed on United proving their superiority at both ends of the pitch by winning to nil against Huddersfield.
