Leicester City v Everton Betting: Goalkeepers to have work cut out as Puel makes Foxes bow

Claude Puel will take charge of Leicester City for the first time when the Foxes face Everton in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Frenchman led Southampton to the League Cup final last season, before guiding the Saints to an eighth place finish in the Premier League; the 56-year-old, though, faced criticism over his side's style of play and the former Nice manager was sacked in the summer.

Puel, then, could be forgiven for feeling that he has a point to prove as he takes up the reins at Leicester; recent results will certainly offer encouragement to Puel that he has inherited a squad that is capable of climbing the Premier League table.

The 2015/16 Premier League champions sacked Craig Shakespeare earlier this month following a disappointing start to the season, but caretaker manager Michael Appleton has since steadied the ship, guiding the Foxes to wins against Swansea City and Leeds United respectively in his two matches in charge; Appleton will revert to his role as assistant manager in light of Puel's appointment.

Victory against Everton on Sunday afternoon would, of course, be the perfect way for Puel to begin his reign as Leicester City manager and the Foxes can be backed at 23/20 (2.15) with dabblebet to deliver three points for the new manager; the same firm go 12/5 (3.40) that the match ends in stalemate; that particular play would have landed in three of Leicester's last five Premier League matches.

There is plenty of potential for the goals to flow here as Leicester have failed to find the net in just one of their last eight games, while Everton, too, have scored in seven of their last eight matches.
