While many European leagues are now entering a winter break, there's no such prospect for England's top-flight sides who have a gruelling schedule of matches over the next few weeks.

The action gets underway with match one, which sees Tottenham host Southampton at Wembley in Boxing Day's early kick off. Harry Kane is looking to write his name into the history books as the England international goes in search of a goal which will make him the leading Premier League scorer in a calendar year.

Liverpool and Swansea cap off a hectic day of action and they also feature in Football 4Cast. The visitors have sacked Paul Clement but will a change of manager turn around their fortunes? They will certainly have easier assignments than a trip to Anfield given how impressive Jurgen Klopp's men have looked on home soil this season.

Newcastle will attempt to stop free-scoring Manchester City, who have already racked up 100 goals in a calendar year. The Magpies sprung a shock at the London Stadium but face a huge step up in class as they take on the runaway league leaders at St James' Park on Wednesday.

Thursday sees the final game of the round as Crystal Palace entertain Arsenal. The Gunners shared the spoils in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Liverpool a few days ago but Arsene Wenger will demand more defensive discipline from his side, especially against an improving Palace side who are climbing up the table under Roy Hodgson's stewardship.
