Manchester United target Malcom going nowhere, says Bordeaux chief

Bordeaux president Stephane Martin has said that his side will not sell Malcom during the January transfer window.

The Garonne outfit have struggled for form this season but the Brazilian winger has been one of their few bright spots, earning a reputation for being a player with an eye for a spectacular long-range strike.

The 20-year-old has scored seven times this season and has produced another five assists, and that has led to him attracting interest from clubs all over the continent.

Manchester United and Barcelona are reportedly two interested parties, but Bordeaux say their star man will be going nowhere.

“He will not leave this winter,” Martin told L’Equipe . “What if we got an immediate loan deal back? I don’t see that being in the interests of the club to do that. We’ve not spoken about it and it’s not something we’re working on.”

Malcom has been nursing a slight injury of late and only made the bench for Sunday’s Ligue 1 meeting with Nice.
