Silva offers no guarantees Watford can hold on to Chelsea and Tottenham target Richarlison

Marco Silva wants to keep hold of Watford winger Richarlison but is wary that interest from big Premier League clubs may be too much to resist.

The Brazilian has impressed in England since arriving from Fluminense in the summer, scoring five times and creating three more in only 14 Premier League outings.

His strong displays have piqued the interest of Chelsea and Tottenham, according to reports, and with the January transfer window looming, Silva does not appear to be optimistic about his side’s chances of retaining the 20-year-old.

“It’s the club's decision,” he admitted. “The owner will decide what is best.

"For us as a club it is important to keep our best players. It's normal. We know our players are doing well and some are improving a lot. It's normal other clubs pay attention to them."

Watford have made a strong start to the campaign and held Tottenham to a 1-1 draw at the weekend, further establishing themselves in the top half of the table as a consequence.
