The next Man City! Borisov repeat Aguero's 96th-minute heroics

BATE Borisov have won their 12th consecutive Belarusian league title on Sunday, thanks to a 96th-minute winner!

BATE began the day top of the league table by two points but fell 3-1 behind to Gorodeya, giving hope to fellow title challengers Dinamo Minsk, who won their final game of the campaign 4-1.

However, the dynastic BATE rallied and secured an incredible 3-3 draw, thanks to Mirko Ivanic's injury time penalty.

The result will surely draw comparisons with Roberto Mancini's Manchester City, who won the Premier League title in 2012 by virtue of Sergio Aguero's 96th-minute goal. They too came from two goals down, this time from 2-1, to win 3-2.

Shakhtyor Soligorsk were the last team to win the title other than BATE, lifting the trophy in 2005.

Only two teams in European history have won more successive titles - Rosenborg won 13 in Norway, while Lincoln won 14 in Gibraltar.
