Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool Betting: Back Christian Eriksen over Harry Kane to net at Wembley

After dominating the headlines once again in Tottenham’s impressive 1-1 draw at Real Madrid, Harry Kane will be hoping to become the hero when Liverpool visit Wembley in Sunday’s Premier League clash.

Despite hitting the net 11 times in 11 fixtures this season, the England striker is yet to score a league goal at Spurs’ temporary home, although he is bet365’s 13/5 (3.60) favourite to get off the mark by breaking the deadlock in this one.

Both of Kane’s two previous goals against Jurgen Klopp’s team have also come away from home, but he is priced at a narrow 4/6 (1.67) to strike anytime this time out.

Surprisingly selected to partner Kane up front at the Bernabeu, Fernando Llorente is on offer at 11/10 (2.10) to build on his encouraging performance by opening his account for Mauricio Pochettino’s team in high profile circumstances.

However, having found the net in four of his last six appearances for club and country, Christian Eriksen looks like the best value bet to score for the second home game in succession at generous 11/4 (3.75) odds., or alternatively, Dele Alli can be backed at 11/10 (2.10) to add to his two Premier League goals so far, bringing an end to a five-game barren streak.

With the injured Sadio Mane unavailable to repeat the two-goal heroics of February’s encounter, Liverpool will need to look elsewhere for inspiration up front.

Having scored twice in the 7-0 Champions League thrashing of Maribor on Tuesday, Roberto Firmino is his side’s 6/1 (7.00) favourite to open the scoring with a first goal in six league games, or 7/4 (2.75) to strike anytime.

Also on target twice in midweek, Mohamed Salah is a strong 15/8 (2.88) shot to hit the net for the 12th time in 17 matches for club and country this season.

Finally, Daniel Sturridge is priced at 7/4 (2.75) to add to his four previous goals against Tottenham, while Philippe Coutinho is available at 5/2 (3.50) to fire for a fifth club appearance in six.
