Brighton boss Chris Hughton shrugs off deadline-day frustration

Brighton manager Chris Hughton is refusing to dwell on his deadline-day frustration and is instead concentrating on the squad he has.
The Seagulls, yet to score a goal since they were promoted to the Premier League, missed out on a late deal to sign Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen.
With Sam Baldock and Izzy Brown out injured, Hughton is relying on his only other forwards, Tomer Hemed and Glenn Murray, shaking off knocks in time to face West Brom on Saturday.
But he insisted: "Is the lack of goals a worry? At this stage, no, it's so early in the season. We are looking forward to the challenges.
"After the last game against Watford, where we got off the mark with a point, the next challenge is to take that 0-0 draw and turn it into a winning performance, and you can only win if you score goals.
"Glenn trained on Thursday morning which is a real plus. Hemed had a scare in midweek but we've assessed him and think he will be fine. Our thoughts are that they will be available.
"Once the window has closed you probably don't speak about disappointments, you have to be happy with the squad you've got.
"We brought in seven players. It is common knowledge that we wanted a different type of striker, but we weren't able to and it's important to concentrate on what you've got.
"We will certainly move on and take the challenges on with the squad we've got."
Hughton will also be without experienced midfielder Steve Sidwell against West Brom after he underwent back surgery.
The Baggies have made a fine start to the season with two wins and a draw and Hughton knows his side face a tough test to get that first win on the board.
"They have seven points out of nine and it's no coincidence, they are an established team with an established manager," he added.
"But we are at home and it's not rocket science that you will pick up more points at home, and that makes home games even bigger.
"They are a very good side, they have recruited well to add to what was already a very good Premier League squad.
"We know what they are about - they are tough to break down, they have quality, they can score a goal and they are good on set plays, but it's up to us to be able to break that down."
