WATCH - Cesc Fabregas finally comes clean about pizza-throwing incident with Alex Ferguson
Cesc Fabregas has pleaded guilty to one of the more infamous and amusing crimes in Premier League history, after he confirmed that he was the man who threw pizza that landed on Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson in the infamous ‘Battle of the Buffet’ in 2004.
United had just ended Arsenal’s record breaking 49-game unbeaten run when tempers flared in the Old Trafford tunnel between the two fierce rivals, who were dominating Premier League football.
Amid the confusion, pizza began to get thrown in the direction of the United players, with Ferguson ending up on the receiving end of a couple of slices of the post-match buffet.
Now Fabregas has admitted that he was the Arsenal player who threw the Italian dish in Ferguson’s direction, as he confessed to his crimes in this clip from Sky 1’s ‘A League Of Their Own’:
